Thread The Word is operated in the United States by OPPA Ventures Inc., a corporation formed in North Carolina. We are committed to promoting and upholding ethical practices throughout our operations and supply chain. We condemn any form of forced labor, child labor, human trafficking, or any other violation of human rights, and this statement outlines the steps we take to identify and mitigate those risks. It is published voluntarily, consistent with the aims of supply-chain transparency laws around the world, including the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act and the Australian Modern Slavery Act.
Our Operations and Supply Chain
Unlike most personalized gift retailers, we make our own products. Blankets for US and Canadian orders are knitted in our own facility in Conover, North Carolina; orders for Australia and other markets are made in our Melbourne, Australia facility. Operating our own production means we directly control working conditions, wages, and safety where our products are made. Our supply chain beyond our facilities consists primarily of yarn and materials suppliers, packaging suppliers, and delivery carriers.
